Carrot 🥕 Dogs

Snacking is pretty much an essential these days. Longer nights, colder mornings, and of course outside still being pretty werid and partially closed we are just spending more time at home. More time at home means, more snacking. I’m not one of those crazy no snacks eaters, because that’s not realistic. People snack. Everyone likes a easy one bite treat, so the most natural thing to do is make sure your snacks are good for you.

Here is a yummy and healthy snack that highlights one of my favorite vegetables: Carrots 🥕

Carrot Dogs:

1 bag of Baby Carrots

1 Can Crescent Dough or Pull Pastry Dough

Sauce:

1⁄2 cup Soy Sauce

1⁄2 cup Water

2 tbsp White Wine

1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

2 tsp Liquid Smoke

3 Garlic Cloves Mined

1 tsp Fresh Ginger

1 tsp Black Pepper

1⁄2 tsp Garlic & Onion Powder

Directions:

1. In a medium sized pot boil water, once boiling add carrots. Allow them to boil maybe 5 minutes and cover with a top and turn off. You want your carrots to be tender to a fork but not falling apart or turning into a mush.

2. While Carrots are boiling combine all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl.

3. Once the Carrots are rinsed with cold water, pour your carrots into the sauce bowl.

4. Cover the bowl and place into the fridge for about 45 minutes.

5. Preheat oven to 375

6. Now in a skillet (preferably cast iron) pour your marinade carrots into the skillet with

grape seed oil and sauté them for about 7 minutes.

7. Remove the skillet from the fire, and unroll your dough. Cut into maybe 16 pieces (8

rolls/ divided by 2)

8. Once the carrots are cool to touch roll 2 carrots into your dough cuts.

9. Once are all rolled place them on a cookie sheet and drizzle with some warm butter.

10. Bake them for 12-15 minutes or very brown and flaky.

11. Take out and eat them all or share with the family.
